ZVDS continues ShortSea platform FIXBO

After it briefly appeared at the beginning of the year that FIXBO, an important information platform for the ShortSea market, would be closing its digital doors, there has been another twist. The Central Association of German Ship Brokers (ZVDS) is now taking over the platform. We hope that this will enable us to continue to provide the market with the same wealth of useful information and market transparency for the ShortSea sector, independent of any particular company.

Of course, such a transition also brings changes. Existing user accounts have been deactivated. However, as anonymized user data has been used in the past, the data collection built up since 2011 can continue to be used. However, for data protection reasons, interested companies must re-register on the platform. The link to register and further information about the index can be found here.

We would be delighted if FIXBO continued to be a permanent partner of the ShortSea community in the future and invite all interested parties to register at www.fixbo.eu. As always, the more people participate, the better. Internationality is therefore the keyword for the future. Together with global partners such as FONASBA, work will continue on the international dissemination of the index – guaranteed with the same loyalty, neutrality, and discretion as before.
